Business Development Leader, Carriers

With over a million customers trusting PayJoy, it’s increasingly important that our apps and services operate with integrity and high availability while keeping our customers' data confidential.

This new position leads PayJoy’s efforts in managing carrier relationships, making PayJoy’s unique, pay-as-you-go financing offers available in carriers’ owned & operated, branded dealers and (eventually) e-commerce channels. It will continue to be a senior-level key point of contact managing PayJoy’s prospective and existing global carrier relationships and ensuring PayJoy’s continued growth and importance within the carriers’ operations.


  • You are an expert and will become a thought leader within PayJoy regarding the carrier channel.
  • Via your close knowledge of carrier performance, finance, consumer marketing, presentation skills and strategic outlook, you will tailor messages to teach carriers about the benefits of PayJoy’s offers.
  • This position navigates complex carrier organizations to identify key influencers and decision makers, and ultimately convince those organizations via these tailored messages to resolutely move in a direction they may not have previously considered.
  • You will shepherd these distribution deals from initiation to close, including negotiating and finalizing detailed distribution contracts, as well as launching, and growing the relationship once launched.
  • Requirements

  • 5-10 years managing financing offers in the smartphone / carrier industry, and/or with management consulting experience.
  • Experience negotiating and closing distribution contracts.
  • Experience with tracking carrier KPIs and knowledge of trends in those metrics is helpful.
  • Skills in solution & challenger selling approaches, including the analytical analysis and presentation abilities included in that skill set. English fluency is required. 
  • Established relationships with C-suite members of global carriers is a bonus.
