Head of Supply Chain

Based in Mexico City, PayJoy is seeking an industry expert and thought leader to establish PayJoy’s inventory position and consignment operations, as we expand our offer of smartphones to Mexican retailers, distributors and carriers on consignment, and expanding outside of Mexico in our other countries. You’ll be harnessing your experience to design these programs per industry best practices, then sharing these best practices with local country management teams and adding specialist headcount locally where merited, as this program expands its geographic scope. 

Candidates should have 5-10 years of experience in managing logistics directly or via third party providers of warehousing, forward & reverse logistics and managing retail inventory, including inventory placed in consignment. Further, experience in applying inventory risk management best practices, including insurance policies and other measures, will be helpful in both choosing service providers and monitoring their operations. Experience in building and managing an inventory management team, and in running or responding to RFPs are bonuses. 


  • Start from scratch designing manual processes, building warehousing and logistics capabilities, establishing partnerships and driving towards automation to scale this operation in Mexico
  • Expand elsewhere in Latin America and beyond, making PayJoy a leading provider of smartphones to the ecosystem
  • Requirements

  • Experience in managing inventory positions of depreciating goods, especially consumer electronics; and in management of inventories placed at points of sale on consignment
  • Knowledge of Inventory Management Systems (IMS), their processes and operation
  • Negotiation and purchasing skills, especially with regard to establishing new providers for optimizing existing operational efficiencies
  • Managing vendor relationships and building & managing support teams across regions
  • Fluent English and Spanish
