Operations Manager - GSI

This role will be responsible for all operational aspects of the business, as well as being an active team member of the management team.

You will build on the success of PayJoy’s phone financing business to meet ambitious growth goals. You will be the owner of all things Operations for Global Initiatives with a focus on improving execution and operational dynamics between PayJoy and its commercial partners, including large  telecommunication carriers, retailers and authorized dealers across the country. You'll work with teammates across the company, from Operations, Business Development, Product, Engineering and the Executive Team to launch, and scale PayJoy products. You have a bias toward action and can break down complex problems into steps that drive new deployments at PayJoy speed. Successful candidates will be able to dig into the details and step back to focus on the major opportunities. 

The organization will depend on this person's expertise and knowledge of operational activities as a guide for design and implementation of new solutions.


  • Think creatively to solve complex problems that exist today, and that will occur in the future.
  • Navigate existing networks, and create new networks, to identify and implement optimal solutions (marketing campaigns, third party service integrations, etc). 
  • Assist the Ecuador leadership team in leading expansion plans for the market and shape the plan for launching new services while ensuring strong coordination with internal and external teams along the way.
  • Provide data-driven insights on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and standardized business metrics. Manage dashboards, regional reports and executive review documents.
  • Work together with other teams to transform all business strategies in customer experience initiatives in different channels.
  • Lead team members to structure and design customer service workflow for new business using management techniques, best practices & strategy.
  • Turn support data into an actionable product, support and operational improvements.
  • Can think through complex operational problems, but has the ability to engage in commercial discussions.
  • Requirements

  • 5+ years degree in business administration or similar field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Self-orientation, drive, and ability to communicate clearly and persuasively to business partners, customers, and different members of our team.
  • Ability to gather and analyze a variety of data points (qualitative and quantitative) and pare that information down to the most important insights for the business. You will push the company to be more data-driven in it’s approach for excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Able to build and manage strong relationships with cross-functional colleagues, and external partners
  • Spanish & English required
  • Desired qualifications

  • Experience launching a consumer finance solution/app.
  • Experience on structuring solid business cases and on convincing people to help you execute
  • Demonstrated ability to develop business analytics that help a professional services organization operate smoothly, with views that will meet the needs of other business partners (Finance, Sales Operations, Business Development, etc.)
