Principal/Senior Product Manager - Money Movement

With over a million customers trusting PayJoy, it’s increasingly important that our apps and services operate with integrity and high availability while keeping our customers' data confidential.

You will lead the definition and launch of software products that enable PayJoy to scale its internal financial systems globally.

At PayJoy, product development is an intensely collaborative effort between engineering, finance, risk, design, analytics, and ultimately, the product users. You’d be joining a small but growing team of talented Product Managers who have a track record of successfully building large-scale business and consumer products that are collectively impacting millions of emerging middle-class users in global emerging markets.

This is a broad and deep role for a rare person. You are highly curious about technology and finance and have a track record with both. While reading a debt covenant for Ecuador you start writing auditable business rules that could be re-used in Kenya. You are also comfortable validating the correctness of these implementations by working with engineering to “automate everything in sight”. Modifying our internal loan management system to comply with accounting norms in a dozen countries makes your heart beat fast with excitement.  Solutions, where the final step is a human doing a thing in a spreadsheet, are distasteful to you.

  • Lead the development of PayJoy’s Internal financial products to support PayJoy’s global expansion (eg Loan Management, Cash Movement, Merchant Reconciliation).
  • Thoughtfully prioritize requirements and manage the definition process across stakeholders.
  • Manage product launches, working closely with PayJoy engineers, finance, sales, and technical staff to create plans and track release milestones.
  • Assess the quality of releases through monitoring of incoming issues to identify quality issues and trends.
  • Measure the impact of your launches and advocate for resources commensurate with impact.
  • Build a roadmap for the future of PayJoy’s Financial Infrastructure software.
