Operations Analyst

PayJoy is hiring an Operations Analyst to join our talented team to work on exciting and fast-paced projects. You will contribute to the mission of delivering consumer finance at scale. One of the many reasons PayJoy develops innovative products is because of the collaborative work of our teams that enable consumer finance in emerging markets.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate in accelerating the growth of PayJoy and its commercial partners by creating and improving internal and external operations. You will report to the Operations Manager in Ecuador. The main focus of this role is to improve through analysis the processes related to enabling consumer finance for the next billion. 

You'll work with teammates across the company, from Operations, Business Development, Product and the Executive Team to launch and scale PayJoy products. You have a bias toward action and can break down complex problems into steps that drive new deployments at PayJoy speed. Successful candidates will be able to dig into the details and step back to focus on the major opportunities. You will need outstanding communication skills, quick understanding of processes, a focus on scalability of the business, and a highly proactive attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Think creatively to solve complex problems that exist today, and that will occur in the future.
  • Navigate existing networks, and create new networks, to identify and implement optimal solutions.
  • Create daily, weekly and monthly reports to management on key findings and assessments. 
  • Work together with the Ecuador Operations Manager and leadership team in leading expansion plans for the market and shape the plan for launching new services while ensuring strong coordination with internal and external teams along the way.
  • Provide data-driven insights on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and standardized business metrics. Manage dashboards, regional reports and executive review documents.
  • Work together with other teams to transform all business strategies in customer experience initiatives in different channels.
  • Turn support data into an actionable product, support and operational improvements.
  • Recommend and update policies and procedures to improve performance
  • Develop, document, and deploy operational processes
  • Support the implementation of new processes with commercial partners and other areas
  • Track and develop operational metrics
  • Develop long-lasting business relationships and support the operation at our commercial partners’ stores
  • Research and implement best practices from other markets in Ecuador
  • Requirements:

  • 4+ years work experience in a startup or fast paced environment.
  • Self-orientation, drive, and ability to communicate clearly and persuasively to business partners, customers, and different members of our team.
  • Ability to gather and analyze a variety of data points (qualitative and quantitative) and pare that information down to the most important insights for the business. You will push the company to be more data-driven in it’s approach for excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Able to build and manage strong relationships with cross-functional colleagues, and external partners. Spanish & English required.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in SQL.

  • Desired qualifications:

  • Experience launching a consumer finance solution/app.
  • Experience on structuring solid business cases and on convincing people to help you execute
  • Demonstrated ability to develop business analytics that help a professional services organization operate smoothly, with views that will meet the needs of other business partners (Finance, Sales Operations, Business Development, etc.)
