Sr. Technical Program Manager

This role will be responsible for the technical preparation and product readiness for PayJoy’s aggressive expansion plans across Latin America. You will manage a team of technical program manager(s) and sales engineer(s) to lead complex market entries into successful, scalable business operations.
You will manage relationships with external third party service providers, across multiple markets, to ensure we are delivering the best possible products. You will draw on strong project and account management skills to keep deployments on track and use your communication skills to learn from and educate our Partners to help them meet their business objectives. You will work closely with functional experts at PayJoy from our Product, Engineering, Risk, and OEM teams in support of these goals.
Manage a team of 1-3 technical specialists to deliver scalable solutions across the region.Influence a vision, roadmap, and long-term direction for scaling PayJoy products across the region.Able to synthesize data and analytics to formulate sound program objectives and goals.Develop and manage projects from ideation through execution, including project scope, timeline, and project execution; coordinating remote work closely with field teams.Address bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.Develop business metrics and KPIs to increase adoption and develop audit mechanisms (e.g., metrics, reporting, evaluation standards) to track and report on adoption.Provide consistent, executive-level reporting on project status and outcomes.Demonstrate effective communication skills (both verbal and written) across all levels of the business from technical partners to senior management.Influence field teams across the organization, and communicate progress, changes, issues, and resolutions clearly to all stakeholders.Aptitude for technology, able to learn new tools quickly.Demonstrated experience with structured thinking to proactively recognize business challenges, map business processes, gather business requirements, evaluate tools, develop roadmaps, devise/recommend solutions, and communicate complex ideas.Experience working with external and internal customers, partners and stakeholders to gather business requirements, develop product features and create technical designs.Proven ability to manage ambiguity, and a preparedness to take on what is necessary to get things done.This is a Partner facing role. You will be required to travel to client locations and deliver professional services when needed.
BA/BS degree in a technical field with 8+ years of program/product management experience.Experience solving problems leveraging data, developing and leading multi-team programs and initiatives.Self-orientation, drive, and ability to communicate clearly and persuasively to business partners, customers, and different members of our team.Ability to gather and analyze a variety of data points (qualitative and quantitative) and pare that information down to the most important insights for the business. You will push the company to be more data-driven in our approach for excellence.Strong interpersonal skills. Able to build and manage strong relationships with cross-functional colleagues and external partners. Spanish & English required.
Experience launching a consumer finance solution/app.Experience on structuring solid business cases and on convincing people to help you execute.
