Director of FP&A

PayJoy is hiring a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to join our fast-paced, mission-driven, and talented team. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will lead the global FP&A department in its next stage of development. This is your opportunity to help shape PayJoy’s future, partner with executives in helping the company execute on its goals, and develop a global team across the US, Latin America, Asia, and Africa. You have experience in leading businesses, you can roll up your sleeves while thinking strategically, and you share our mission to expand access to finance to the next billion consumers worldwide. 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of PayJoy’s FP&A practice, including managing financial planning, budgeting, and cash management processes. Improve forecasting accuracy, timeliness, and depth. 
  • Develop a Balance Sheet forecasting model. 
  • Collaborate internally with GTM, risk, and operations to determine drivers of performance and develop KPIs to drive execution of company-wide goals. 
  • Implement planning software to facilitate global company-wide planning.
  •  Oversee weekly forecasting and reconciliation of operating cash support geographical and product expansion with financial analysis and appropriate controls and processes. 
  • Partner with Accounting and Capital Markets departments to manage expenses and publish budget vs actuals analysis and other reporting packages.
  •  Develops and maintains budgeting policies, controls, and procedures on a global scale.
  •  Build and develop a global team to support our global businesses.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics. MBA a plus.
  • 10 - 15 years of work experience with 5 years in FP&A in a lending organization. Lendtech experience a plus.
  • Intermediate level of SQL skills. You will be tested.
  • Demonstrated ability to form, lead, and develop high-performing teams. 
  • Global experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present in person and in writing to non-finance audiences.
  • Spanish fluency a plus.
