Head of OEM Partnerships, China

With over a million customers trusting PayJoy, it’s increasingly important that our apps and services operate with integrity and high availability while keeping our customers' data confidential.

Based in Shenzhen, this position creates internal mandates at OEM organizations to cooperate with PayJoy in making their devices compatible with PayJoy’s finance programs, and thus enables members of PayJoy’s BD team to be more effective in their day-to-day interactions with OEMs.  

The Head of OEM Partnerships, China leads the OEM BD team in “Hunting,” e.g. starting at fact finding and data analysis, to first engagement, navigating prospective OEM partnership organizations and bringing deals to contract closing, as well as “Farming”: ensuring deepening, ongoing relationships with existing OEM partners, as expressed by those partners expanding models with PayJoy compatibility. 

You’ll be a master at tailoring the message, teaching the OEMs about PayJoy and finance for the under-served consumer segment, and be able to take control of conversations to overcome objections or otherwise make extractive requests of PayJoy, and coach PayJoy’s BD team on this approach. You will establish yourself as a thought leader with PayJoy regarding the OEM space. 


  •  Skills in solution & challenger selling approaches, including the organizational and analytical analysis, plus presentation abilities included in that skill set
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizations ultimately convince those organizations to resolutely move in a direction they may not have previously considered
  • Experience in strategically-significant positions at one or more OEMs, organizations providing financial products to the underbanked segment, and/or management consulting experience desired
  • Skill in negotiating and closing contracts, especially distribution or IP agreements  
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English is required
