Capital Markets Operations Manager

The Capital Markets Operations Manager will join PayJoy’s Financial Products team (Risk Strategy, Capital Markets, Fraud Strategy, Collections and Fraud Ops). Reporting to the Head of Capital Markets, this person will own the operations aspects of PayJoy’s financing arrangements and scale with the organization to maximize efficiency and compliance. This role will work in close collaboration with a number of other individuals across credit strategy, product, engineering, data science, sales and operations. Successful candidates will manage investors and third party vendors across facilities in all of PayJoy’s markets. Responsibilities:

  • Support and contribute to PayJoy’s funding strategy of the existing loan book in Mexico and expansion into new markets in Latam, Africa, and Asia
  • Interface directly with institutional investors, providing timely responses and support for their inquiries
  • Execute and streamline day-to-day operating activities for all investor cash related cash flows
  • Build and manage systems to automate back-end processes for investors
  • Own operational issues as they occur and lead new implementations to prevent ongoing issues
  • Contribute to the development of external systems used by investors and responses to those systems
  • Requirements:

  • 5+ years of financial operations experience, banking experience strongly preferred
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office and strong SQL skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, global startup environment
  • Superb attention to detail and time management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to present in person and in writing to non-expert audiences
