Director of Global Fraud Strategy

The Director of Global Fraud Strategy will join PayJoy’s Financial Product team, which is comprised of the Risk Strategy, Capital Markets, Data Analytics, Fraud Strategy, Collections and Fraud Ops teams. You will lead and grow the global Fraud Analytics and Fraud Ops teams. You will set the strategic objectives and execute on those objectives so that user onboarding and fraud strategy become a competitive advantage for PayJoy. You will balance the seamless user experience with great fraud controls prioritizing solutions that accomplish both objectives. You will partner closely with Product/Engineering and PayJoy’s regional General Managers to ensure we scalably solve user registration and fraud prevention globally in service of PayJoy’s mission to bring finance to the next billion. 

Responsibilities

  • Make fraud strategy a competitive advantage for PayJoy 
  • Define an anti-fraud strategy that scales to multiple continents, as well as across consumer direct and indirect products 
  • Clearly communicate your vision and partner with multiple teams to execute on it rapidly 
  • Build KYC and anti-fraud systems that are specifically designed to serve PayJoy’s target market; the global unbanked and underbanked 
  • Mentor and continue building PayJoy’s Fraud Analytics and Fraud Operations teams
  • Requirements

  • 7+ years designing and implementing scalable anti-fraud systems 
  • At least 2 years at a top FinTech (PayPal, Capital One, Stripe, etc.) 
  • Demonstrated experience building anti-fraud systems with a Product/Eng team 
  • You consider written and verbal communication to be a strength 
  • Perhaps it’s been a while, but you can still write SQL, Python and R if needed
