PayJoy funds forest protection project in Brazil for 2024 carbon offset

In 2022 PayJoy committed to running carbon-neutral by funding carbon offset projects in countries where we operate.  For 2024, we are delighted to announce we are funding a forest protection project in Cujubim, Brazil through ClimatePartner.

What is the project about?

The project empowers farmers through training in sustainable farming techniques and forest stewardship. Furthermore, in collaboration with the local community, participants work to safeguard the area from detrimental impacts.

What is the impact?

The project promotes responsible consumption and production of agricultural resources, helping to preserve high-value forests in an area renowned for its natural beauty and biodiversity. Over the project lifetime, it aims to mitigate 7.5M tons of CO2 emissions by preventing unplanned deforestation.
